Excellent quality clayboard. I tested it out on a small 5x7. I enjoyed working in this medium. It has a very smooth inked texture. The board backing provides a sturdiness that paper cannot. My artwork is coming out beautifully & I'm buying more ( 18x24 and larger this time around) No complaints here!

AMPERSAND ART SUPPLY SCRATCHBORD - Scratchbord is a clay coated hardboard panel for scratchboard that is coated with India ink. Comparable to traditional paper scratchboard, except better - it's more durable and easier to scratch into for cleaner and crsiper details and lines. For added dimension, colored inks can be added to the white areas and then scratched again for additional highlights and volume.
