chartpak Rapidosketch Technical Pen Sets 0.25 mm Buyer Reviews

I found it great for writing as well as drawing, easy to use but kind of messy to load the ink. I may have to learn to use gloves for that but it isn't very often to refill.

In the past I've had a technical pen of the same make. However, I purchased it in 2008 and the design now is a little different. The pen I got flowed ink on the first use for..maybe about a second. After that, it never worked. Ever. I intended to send it back but had been too busy so now I'm stuck with a useless pen. I've cleaned it and cleaned it and there is no hope remaining. My advice? Buy something from a different brand or the disposable ones.

If you've used them, you know the quality. If you haven't, and you like to draw using a fine point technical pen, this is for you. Just have to make sure you keep them clean.

This type of art was unknown to me. I was using the old fashioned dip and write method. I took art classes last semester. I'm so happy I found this pen. Thank you.

This pen has done everything I expected. As a pen and ink artist I need ed a pen that would consistanly make the mark I need when and where I needed it. This pen has preformed flawlessly.

I would recommend this pen with the following warning, the pen has a part of it that will leak ink if you shake it too much and the tip gets clogged easily.

One of the pens fell apart from the inside. The needle just broke dropped out of the tip spilling ink everywhere.

Perfect for a serious artist. Pen showed up promptly and proved to be one of the most reliable technical pens I've ever owned. Despite low price this was Koh-l-noor Rapidograpgh pen which lived up to standard. If one is not familiar with koh-l-noor rapidorgrapgh pens then the included instructions on maintenance would be necessary and cleaning solvent should be purchased at the same time. The best technical pen on the market.

This Chartpak Rapidograph is incredible! Easier to fill than the typical or original Rapidograph, and works very delicately. I can draw with ease the pen just flows for me, it's like it's doing the work, not me. It draws for itself. No, really. Very delicate lines and I also use it for pointalism. I can't put this pen down, just works incredibly! Get this pen if you draw delicately, you will not be disappointed! I'm totally in love with it!

I've used Koh-I-Noor sets for years, they've always had the same flaw. The flaw is right where the ink cartridge connects to the front of the pen. After only a few months of use, with the pens I use the most, the plastic on the outside where the casing connects to the front of the pen, it expands and cracks outwards and eventually strips and doesn't connect any more. The flaw here is that it's made of a plastic that cannot withstand being tightened and loosened repeatedly. These pens ARE great for artists, I just wish the company would just fix the flaw instead of relying on a flawed design. As the reviewer said above, "Serious Artists should buy these" but I say, Serious Artists SHOULD NOT accept faulty products.I will not buy these pens until the issue has been fixed.
