I have not yet opened or used this product yet--have other Loew Cornell items and would be terribly surprised if these watercolors didn't fill the bill for me. The variety of colors and shades are great. Expect to have great fun with this set!

This is a great paper for a new artist! It doesn't leak through when those new artists overload their brushes. I've purchased several of these since I tried the first one. Will definitely buy more as I continue to teach a new student the art of watercolor.

I bought this pad for my 8 year old budding artist. At the same time I bought a different pad of equal weight watercolor paper. The other one seems more substantial and has a rough side for water color. This is just fine for a child but I wouldn't get it for anyone else.
