We're live with updates of the second round of the British Open. Stay with us for analysis throughout Friday.
Another three-putt for Tiger to drop him back to two-under par.
That's two on the round and he's now in a tie for ninth.
Martin Laird, a native son, had run off for straight birdies before missing a long one at 13.
He's in the hunt at three-under.
Lee Westwood makes five birdies on the front nine, no bogeys.
His 31 gets him to four-under for the tournament, a shot behind Zach Johnson, who doesn't play for several hours.
From FoxSports.com senior golf writer Robert Lusetich.
Darren Clarke has five birdies through 12 holes.
That would be great news for him, except for the quadruple eight he took on the sixth hole.
He's at even par for the tournament.
The way things are going this morning, I wonder what Zach Johnson is going to see when he looks at the scoreboard prior to teeing off this afternoon.
It's getting crowded at the top.
Regardless of the weather conditions, today's round could be the most difficult of the week for Woods and McDowell.
Playing as a twosome with threesomes all around them will test their patience all day.
Just my opinion, but I think Graeme McDowell is going to be someone that will have something to say about all of this before the Open is over Sunday.
He looks very confident and is making some very good shots.
Ryan Lavner of the Golf Channel tell us this.
From the BBC:
"Golf is a very simple game made difficult by us above the Adam's apple."
It's hard to ignore his presence moving up the leaderboard, however.
Birdie-bogey-birdie for Tiger the past three holes. He's back to -3 after a two-putt birdie at 5 and within two of the lead. #TheOpen
Tiger does seem to have that "look."
But it's still awfully early to think he's taken control of the tournament.
Ian Poulter is always on top of things.
What a story Jordan Spieth has become!
He knocks in a birdie to get to three-under.
From the wonderful mind of Alistair Tate of Golfweek:
Guy in the kilt is tugging at his rear. I think he has a wedgie. True Scotsmen never get wedgies. There's nothing to get wedged. #TheOpen
The greens may have been watered a bit overnight, but the fairways are still fast and running.
There's definitely a bit more wind and with more coming this afternoon, the early players will once again have the advantage.
From one of Sports Illustrated's best photographers.
Well, what a cracking good morning at the Open!
Should be a fun ride this morning with Tiger, et al.
Except for that little three-foot missed putt at No. 4.
And with that, it's shift change time here at the Bleacher Report liveblog.
This is Carol Schram signing off. Mike Dudurich will be your faithful guide the rest of the way.
Happy trails...
All eyes on Tiger. Always.
McDowell birdies the second and Tiger answers back.
After taking the bogey on eight, Jordan Spieth finally does nail the birdie on the ninth hole.
The finishes out the front half of the course at par, holding steady at two-under.
If Spieth can keep up his steady play, he should make the cut easily.
Another birdie for Westwood.
Tiger's looking very fresh today in his powder-blue shirt and grey slacks.
His play is looking equally fresh as he cruises down the third fairway.
