moleskine has taken a dive in quality over the past year or so. time to start looking at other books. the only real complaint as noted above is the thinness of the paper. scanners will occasional pick up images from the reverse of the page. really detracts from an otherwise well made book

Many years ago while I was in a college bookstore I noticed these notebooks being sold. Their price was quite a bit less than the leading competitor. I bought several. I use them to do drawings while I'm in church and out of various activities. I have a visual journal of activities that it happened to me and the people involved. The quality is good for Canon ink and pencil. I have not tried it with watercolors. I have used colored pencils and that's excellent also.

The Pentallic Sletchbook is one of my favorite besides the Moleskine. The black leather like cover is wonderful and sturdy. The Only problem would be the pages bleeding through like even with graphite I can see through the pages so no front to back drawings. Also don't rip anything out because the binding of the book isn't well bonded( it's bonded with strings) overall very statisfied and love it! I take it everywhere I go!
