I bought this ink instead of the parker quink i had(black)..the quink had a greyish blue tinge to it,but this one is pure black..and thats what i like.. also the 2 ounce bottle is more economic than buying the 1 ounce bottle.

I've tested this against quite a few other inks and, for a dip pen, this is the darkest and densest.I love the bottle design, too; I don't feel like I'm going to knock it over and I love the rubber cap.I think, from now on, when I buy colors of ink, I'm going to check to see if Pelikan has it first before I try any other brand.

Excellent ink and rich color. Good buy for an pen enthusiast. It was a bargin for the price. Well packaged and arrived quickly.

This ink works great with a converter and the lamy safari extra fine nib! I like it better than the stock Lamy ink cartridge that came with the pen!

Was exactly what I needed and more than I expected. Haven't used bottled ink before so thing is interesting to use.

I've used Pelikan Brilliant Black exclusively for the last 4 years. The hue is neutral/slightly cool (as opposed to the warm/brown tones of Noodler's black). The ink is thoroughly dark but still shows shading. It won't feather except on the very worst papers. It's not waterproof and will run under water but I've never had any writing rendered completely illegible. The ink flows well and I haven't had any problems with it in my Lamy Safari. I highly recommend this ink.

I bought this ink based on other's reviews. Looking for ink as black as what's used in Vball Grip gel pens, this one seems every bit as solid black. I'm using it in a Parker IM pen and really like the way this ink performs.

I'm very happy with this ink. Dries quick, and is a really deep shade of black. I'm not an artist, but I do take a lot of notes on good ol' pen and paper, so base my review accordingly.

One of my fellow artist suggested Pelikan Brilliant black ink, I usually use Speedball Super Black India Ink. In Comparison. Pelikan does dry much faster but leaves you with a lighter black. Speedball is a little slower drying but its blacks are super dark. I now use Pelikan as a shade rather than doing my lines. It may be good for lettering but for drawing, not so much.

My father uses this ink for his penmanship practice in general, including calligraphy. The ink is of excellent quality and great for professional and hobby use.
