I can't even tell you how many pens I've gone through trying to find a pen that not only writes well, but shows up on black paper. My mother (for some unknown reason) bought several packages of black notebook paper, and notebooks -- by several, assume I'm completely understating the obvious - I have half a shelf full of unused black paper!! After which, she discovered she couldn't find a single set of gel pens that worked, and the paper just sat in her basement for the last several years. While cleaning out her basement, she ended up giving the whole lot of them to me and my daughter (who is a pre-teenager and thinks black paper is the "coolest thing ever" at the moment..) But ... turns out, I went through at least twenty different brands of store-bought gel pens with no luck on ones that wrote well, and actually showed up on the paper enough to be readable. After searching online through reviews and blogs, I finally decided I was going to have to try sending away for these.. and was THRILLED to find that they work. Not only are they clearly readable on the black paper, but they roll easily, don't clog or skip, and are easy to write with. We will definitely be buying more of these!

These gel pens are a great addition to any art work you do. I have ordered them numerous times and will continue to do so.

I had read a review that these were the best metallic pens and they absolutely are. Great for writing on black paper too!

it takes a while to dry, I've ruined a good number of sketches before I finally got the hang of it. Also, once dry, the colors aren't as bright - all the shimmer rises to the surface. However, if you gently rub an eraser over the dry ink, it takes off some of the shimmer. Overall, I do really like these, they just take a while to get used to.

Really like these pens - smooth flow and easy to write. Love the pens overall - especially the grey (silver) writes really well on darker coloured papers. The purple writes a bit fainter on white paper - than what the pen colour looks like from the outisde but I haven't yet tried it on black or a darker paper. Overall writes well - broad ink flow makes it great to write captions on photos / cards and scrapbooks. Personally I prefer a finer tip point for paragraph journalling with a lot of text. So I use these for captions and another set of fine tip pens for the loads of text underneath :-)

These gel pens really work well, particularly on dark paper which is the reason we got them. Someone got my son some very dark stationary & his regular arsenal of pens wasn't working when he wanted to write thank you notes or letters to his friends. I picked this gel pen pack because I thought the metallic pens & the blues wouldn't be too girly for him & they aren't- he really likes them, particularly the silver & copper colors (& of course the blues). They write smoothly & show up well. I'd definitely recommend them if you have dark paper you need to write on.

I make and sell ACEO's over on Etsy under the shop name Davs, so you can see samples of these gel pens at work if you like. But I love them. They are smooth, go over any surface and last long!

This set of gel pens is just what I was looking for. The colors all show up vividly on black paper as well as other colored paper. They are much better than the gel pens available at my local office supply stores. I also purchased the Yasutomo & Co. Gel Xtreme Pens set of pastel colors and am not disapointed. Both sets are perfect. I would not hesitate to purchase either set again.

I like this set of pens because the ink flows very smoothly. Unfortunately, I happened to get a silver pen that sometimes chokes. All in all, the tips are .7mm and they are quite thick. If you're looking for a shimmery type of glittery gel pen, this is not it (i recommend sakura gelly roll pens instead). This set is rather metallic in color.Good for decorating cards or signing yearbooks. Ink doesn't dry instantly, however, so it might smudge.

These are also some of the best quality gel pens around...always smooth writing and drawing with a lot of options for all kinds of paper crafts. I love these as well as the Sakura Gelly Roll brand. Enjoy!!
