This is for the other kids that wants more artistic control than what a crayon gives. These are for ALL ages. I buy these for my son's class (5th grade). Due to the cost the school has only 30 packs for every class due to the high price. I highly recommend this item for a gift, for a donation to a needy child, or for a class room. There is more pigment so the colors are amazing and the kids love the results. This blows crayons away and it's more durable than markers.
