This nib is nice and flexible. It was simple, I just taped the nib to my feather and dipped. After a little practice for the right pressure and angle, I was writing away. This particular nib is flexible enough to get several different thicknesses with the same tip. It also holds a good amount of ink. I would recommend this especially is you need a fast replacement for a good price.

I had some Speedball fine point nibs and found it extremely frustrating to use (I'm only getting into calligraphy and they were the brand that my local art store carried). I heard good things about Brause and I'm a convert. This nib is extremely responsive to pressure which allows me to be really expressive. I'm planning on trying my hand at Brause 361 Steno "Blue Pumpkin" Calligraphy Pen Nib - Fine Point, but I'd really like to minimize shipping costs and maybe pick up some other nibs to ship all at once.

I may have gotten a defective nib but I don't see how. Right out of the box the thing would not hold enough ink for more than one or two words. It is very flexible, the tines open with only a little pressure, but no matter what it just won't hold ink. I finally threw the thing out as it wasn't worth the trouble to re-package and return.

This nib fits the Speedball Oblique Holder. It glides smoothly on parchment as well as on printer paper. The nib holds an adequate amount of ink for copperplate calligraphy. This nib also has a Goldilocks flexibility, not to firm and not to soft.

Who knew something so small could be so wonderful?Im fairly new at calligraphy and had purchased several types of nibs before but I wanted thinner thin lines and fatter fat lines. A nib with more flexibility would great and this is it! I have a feeling Ill be buying more of these.
