Love this book because absolutely nothing bleeds through the pages, even spray paint. I will continue to buy these books because I can use any medium and it will not bleed at all, not even to the other side of the page.

In 28 years of illustration and sketchbooks, this is the first, truly no-bleed paper that I have found that stands up to alcohol based markers beautifully. Watercolors won't bleed either but the paper will wrinkle with some water based media.It's the first sketchbook where I can actually used both sides of the paper without the previous drawing showing through.I immediately purchased another hardbound sketchbook as well as 2@ 9x12 tear out paper pads so I could make smaller/odd sized sketchbooks to carry with me.The paper seems to have a slightly weird, but not altogether unpleasant odor. If chemical smells bother you, you probably wouldn't be using alcohol based markers anyway but I just thought I'd add that info since it may put some people off. I don't mind it.

Okay, so I bought mine at a local shop, but I have to let everyone know how amazing these are. I have had this now (I have both, the large and the small) and keep the larger on in my art bag. My notebooks have always been battered in the first few weeks, and have to be covered with duck tape, but these covers are very durable, and as of yet don't show much wear.Also, I like really juicy markers and water colors, and it is a real money saver to be able to use both sides of every page, and not to have to rip any out because they got all speckled from the page before. The paper is smooth and thick, but not like a card stock. I don't know how it works, but it is amazing. I could not be any happier.

Though it's true that color does not bleed through, the paper is low grade and does not hold up to water-based inks and sprays. When wet, the paper crinkled and curled, and, in some areas, disintegrated. Maybe it should be marketed as appropriate only for alcohol and solvent inks.
