So, I ask you, what can be better then 1 practice pad? How about many! At .99 each how could you only buy one! I tell you what, normally I am a believer in you get what you pay for. So being so inexpensive I was quite curious as to what would be arriving in the mail. When they arrived I was impressed. I haven't counted all the pieces but I would estimate it to be 50 sheets per pad. Nicely spaced and well made. This product as served me well. As a practice pad this is the best product you could ever buy!*****EDIT*****Changed my review score from 5 to 1 because of the price jump. 9 dollars is way too much for this item. Looks like someone likes to rip off customers.

I bought this pad with a relatively cheap Calligraphy pen set, and a Calligraphy book. It is a great aid when learning to write - the guidelines are very useful!

This pad is great for learning the slant for the Italic hand. I wish there was an introduction on how to use this pad because other calligraphers have found it hard to use. However, I was blessed to have Carrie Imai who has mastered the Italic hand to show me how to use the pad through her correspondences Italic class through the mail. This pad is a great tool for anyone who is having problems obtaining consistent slant in their Italic Calligraphy.

Great for beginners that are just learning as the lines are really big. There was no cover on my pad, but it wasn't too hard to figure out which way it went.

This paper is the perfect weight for practicing lettering. It's perfect for beginners and for practicing the basics due to the heavy weight of the paper. You won't experience smudges or bleeding. This is not tracing paper and doesn't have lines. So if you're a brand new calligrapher you may want to stick to practicing with lined paper and tracing paper.

This is a great product for me, the beginner. I used it in a class and saved a lot of time that would have been spent ruling off a sheet of plain paper and the ink doesn't seep through so I can use the back side of the paper if I choose at a later time.

Ideal and a must for practice. I purchased this as a gift, along with beginner's pens and books. The practice pad allows for the right angles and heights for large and small letters. A must-have for anyone who does calligraphy !

It's a simple practice pad, very useful if you have another book teaching you how to write calligraphy. It saves me a whole lot of time drawing out pencil guide lines.Only wish if they have it in different grid sizes.
