Every year that my children have 'watercolors' on their supply list, I go looking for Prang watercolors as they are the best! Their color is bright and clearly individual. As a kindergarten teacher I learned pretty quick which watercolors could do the job and which could not (RoseArt). The intensity of the colors really sets these paints apart from the rest!

I use these a lot when I'm painting with watercolors. The colors are nice and vibrant, depending on how much water is added, and easily mixed and manipulated. Sometimes the color isn't very pigmented but it's easily fixed by adding more layers of color or adding more color to the water. For a starting level and standard school supply watercolor set, Prang is really worth it.

Prang watercolors are the best watercolors for children on the market. I've taught art for 12 years, and now have a 3 year old at home who likes to paint, and the Crayola paints are not nearly as vibrant as the Prangs.
