Melissa & Doug Boston Terrier Plush Shopper Reviews

Melissa & Doug Boston Terrier Plush Shopper Reviews
OK so this was a gift to a friend who had to leave her dog home while she traveled. While the workmanship and quality were great, and it was beautiful i had one major problem with this plush terrier....the thing is HUGE! I was expecting it to be near life-size. This stands close to 2 feet tall and is about the size of a small black lab as opposed to a Boston terrier. makes it a bit of a problem when you're expecting something travel-sized.Just wanted to warn you so you aren't surprised like I was.
- Vic Sage "TheQuestion"

I love it, my grandaughter loves it. That's what mattered most. Very durable and adorable
- C. brandli "Boston babe"

This Melissa and Doug Plush Boston Terrier may be "stuffed" by human hands, but the product is quality plus, and so 'life-like'. You're sure that he's going to start frolicking around or nipping at your heals. This was a heartfelt gift to my grandchildren who had recently lost their beloved Boston Terrier; how delighted they were admist a few shed tears by all the family. I will definitely go to Melissa and Doug for any future purchases in the 'animal kingdom'.
- S. A. Tucker "sassy"

I ordered this for my husband as we hope to get him a boston terrier when we purchase a home, but right now we live in an apartment that doesn't allow pets. This stuffed animal is so life-like and realistic... the best I have ever seen! The only downside so far is ours seems to have front paws that are too short to sit up by itself. It wants to naturally tip forward. He has fixed this by putting it up against pillow... it works but I would definately recommend!
- Tammy Evenson "Mrs. E"

I read the reviews but was still impressed with the size of this toy when it arrived! I thought for $25 there was no way it could be as big as everyone seemed to say... I was wrong, it's HUGE. Very cute, but much too large for my 18 month old to carry around. She loves to jump on it though, it's a bigger version of our boston.
- Michelle "--- misha"

Very good value for the money, very quick shipping. Will definitly order from this company again
- G. Tuttle "stamp addict"

If all of the plush stuffed animals manufactured by Melissa & Doug are as good as this one you will be very happy with your purchase.. The quality of construction and materials is great. The toy itself has a AAA score on the cuteness meter.. As soon as people see it they pick it right up.. It is very nice and I would consider this brand a top choice when buying others in the future..

This looks so real that our Boston Bowsir thinks he has a new girlfriend!!! If you know a Boston lover you have to get this!!!!
- Stacia Jauer "crazyb"

I got this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day so while he is at school it reminds him of the two dogs we have together. They are both Bostons. I was really impressed when I first got it in the mail but the only thing that kind of ticked me off was the fact around the right eye it looked like the fur was not placed in at some spots and I could see the material that holds onto the fur. It also had a few lose pieces as well that fell out. I was expecting better quality but I was satisfied with the product.

This Boston Terrier seems to be of a great quality, but as far as life-size goes....We got this to give a child whose dog was put down 2 days earlier due to complications with cancer. It was twice as big as her pet. The picture makes it look like it is actually life-size. She loves it any way and is happy with it.

Numbers Sound Puzzle; Ages 2 & Up; no. LCI339 Purchaser Reviews

Numbers Sound Puzzle; Ages 2 & Up; no. LCI339 Purchaser Reviews
This is a great tool to help in learning numbers, the interactive aspects of the product allow for children to retain the information a little easier than just repeating after someone. One thing to note sometimes the puzzles with randomly go off, it happens pretty rarely but just wanted to point that out so those purchasing don't think they have a possessed puzzle :)
- Indira

My daughter loved this product. She used it over and over again. I wish they would create a product that had numbers from 21 to 100. Highly recommended for children with Autism or speech delays.
- J. Edmond

As the other review stated, we own many of these sound puzzles and love them. However, the batteries came out a long time ago! If you see the same puzzle without the sound for cheaper, get that. These things were going off all the time! We have one of the animal puzzles as well and it would really freak me out to hear the kitten noise in the middle of the night. The sound goes off with the sun, lights on and off and when the batteries are going dead. My son loves these just as much without the sound and I still highly recommend getting them! They really help with overall education as well as fine motor development. On another note, Our oldest dog starting having these anxioty attacks out of no where! It took us months and several vet trips to find out what was wrong. Turns out that when we were gone all day, and during the night during a vacation, these puzzles were talking on and off. He was freaking out like you wouldn't believe! After I took the batteries out and a few weeks of not hearing anything, he is now back to normal. Who would have thought???

my 23 month old son fell in love with this puzzle even without the batteries in yet. once i added sound, he liked it even more. there are problems with this puzzle however. the sound chips seem to be activated by light. so if the sun comes through the window, the puzzle activates itself and you hear "1 ladder 1 ladder 1 ladder" out of nowhere? kinda spooky in the middle of the night when a door opens or you turn on a light. and they even go off by moving your hand over them reaching for an entirely different number-- "3 birds 3 birds 2 fish..." just odd. they really need to work on this feature.the first puzzle stopped working after 6 hours and needed to be returned. the second one seems to be holding up. the man's voice is pleasant and sounds real opposed to some of the other samples in the other puzzles.my husband wants to return it but my baby enjoys it so much we have to keep it. he was counting to 21 (skipping 5 and 15) before the puzzle. but not as consistently, and without prompting, until we had the puzzle. so the learning experience has been worth the annoyances.in the future however, we will probably choose the quiet puzzles. this company makes so many incredible products without sound and we own many. i recommend at least trying them and if one doesn't work, just exchange and/or return it.

I'm so disappointed in this product. My great grandmother purchased this for my 2 year old and it's really a disgrace to the Melissa and Doug brand. The construction is fine but the sound doesn't function properly at all. You can just wave your hand over the puzzle and it'll shout a number. My daughter will go to put the number 12 on the board and as she's moving it over 16, it says "16" and she just looks at me like, "am I wrong, or is this thing broken?". We've since taken the batteries out so she doesn't wind up confused. She already knew 1-10 and about half of her teens and we don't need this thing screwing things up.
- LylasMama

Excellent 'hands on' learning resource for infants, toddlers, and young children - especially grandchildren! Fun to watch children discover and explore through learning processes.
- Victor K. Coble

This puzzle seems like a great idea, but the audio is triggered by light sensor. This make the puzzle say the number when you put the piece in the slot, but it also causes the puzzle to call out any number your hand shadows. It can easily confuse a child trying to learn his/her numbers.
- Janis D. Miller

This toy is a great enhancement for my teaching numbers to a three year old. She caught on really fast and I beleive it is because it speaks to her.

Melissa & Doug Cowgirl Role Play Set Purchaser Reviews

Melissa & Doug Cowgirl Role Play Set Purchaser Reviews
Bought for a 5 year old's birthday and she loved it. A perfect gift for a little girl who likes horses.
- TW

I purchased this costume for my business, where we get many little customers every day. From what I've been able to tell so far, this costume is not a hit. although it's pink, there is obviously something about it that does not attract the little ones.It is well made. the plastic "star" is long gone.overall - nice but not a must.
- Orna Harel

my daughter loved dressing up as a cowgirl for western day at her school. very cute outfit. Fits her even tho she is 7
- Pamela Williams

it is bigger than my son (5years) little bit but it is very nice clothes and good quality and good price.
- Mohammed

After looking at what was out there for cowgirl outfits, this is the only one that comes complete with a hat, etc. Best of all, the costume is machine washable! Anyone out there with a 3yo who likes to wear her "princess" gowns, etc..over and over again knows how nasty it can get. Some costumes don't recommend washing (wha?) or to hand wash (sorry, no time for that). So this costume is pretty durable, cute and makes momma and daughter happy. Thanks Melissa & Doug.
- pittPA

Very cute and fits my 6-year-old granddaughter perfectly. Better quality than can be found anywhere else, and worth the extra money.
- Jackie Collins

I am very satisfied with the cowgirl costume I got for my 3 years old cowgirl birthday party. She is gorgeous little girl, but she looks even better dress up with this item! It's amazing! Catch everybody attention and she looks very well dress up!
